Geo-Jade Petroleum Atyrau Field Project's Crude Oil Daily Production Exceeds 2,000 Tons for the First Time
On August 10th, the daily production of crude oil at the Intercontinental Atyrau Field Project broke through 2,000 tons for the first time!
Since the handover of the Koshank Field on August 12, 2015, it has undergone four years of capacity building. The daily production has increased from 400 tons before the handover to today's 2,012 tons; the project's annual oil production has achieved a three-year leap, and it is expected to reach 660,000 tons in 2019.
The soaring figures of daily crude oil production not only reflect Geo-Jade Petroleum's "oil flows quickly" development policy for its high-quality overseas assets but also strongly demonstrate the determination of Geo-Jade's people to "roll up sleeves and work hard."
With the strong support of Geo-Jade headquarters and the Atyrau company, the project has made today's situation with three decisive moves, which have also built up momentum for future continuous production. The first move, combining dynamics with statics, from deep to shallow, Geo-Jade selects high-quality reserves for continuous and rapid production. For four consecutive years, the number of wells built for production capacity has exceeded 20, and the contribution to production capacity in the past three years has been more than 100,000 tons each year. The second move, integrating geology and engineering, serves the underground with surface facilities, completing a series of major systematic projects such as the expansion and reconstruction of the joint station, the expansion of old platforms, the construction of new platforms, and the closed transmission of crude oil within the oil field. These efforts have fundamentally solved the bottleneck issues that restrict the rapid production of the oil field. The third move, with the joint efforts of all staff, focuses on improving the efficiency of old wells. The Chinese and Kazakh teams actively collaborate in the management of old wells, the resumption of long-stopped wells, and the introduction of new technology to increase production, which has effectively slowed down the decline of old wells and laid a solid foundation for the project's stable and increasing production.
Through nearly four years of production practice, the Koshank project has accumulated certain experience in rolling evaluation and rapid construction. The annual production of Koshank has grown explosively, increasing at a rate of more than 100,000 tons per year. In the future, relying on the advantageous location of the Bohai Sea's rich oil and gas depression where the core assets are located, we will continue to adhere to innovation in understanding, technology, and management, accelerate the mobilization of reserves and the intensity of rolling development, increase the exploration and evaluation efforts of the Ougai ultra-shallow layer limestone oil reservoir, open up new growth points for production, and strengthen the exploration of the Moscow Yesi expansion area to consolidate the reserve foundation for increased production, and strive to achieve the goal of producing more than one million tons per year as soon as possible!
